Family Dentistry continues to be open for dental emergencies during this time. We will continue non-emergency procedures as of June 8th, 2020. 

Pre-screening questionnaire - PLEASE READ THE QUESTIONS BELOW AND RESPOND USING THE INSTRUCTIONS SET FORTH.

If you have an upcoming appointment please review the pre-screening questions below as well as the current office policies and respond to the questions via text to (201) 438-5100 or e-mail to Familydentistry15@gmail.com. Your appointment will not be confirmed until the answers are received.

1. Do you have a fever or have you felt hot or feverish recently (14-21 days)?

2. Are you having shortness of breath or other difficulties breathing?

3. Do you have a cough?

4. Any other flu-like symptoms, such as gastrointestinal upset, headache, or fatigue?

5. Have you experienced a recent loss of taste or smell?

6. Are you in contact with any confirmed COVID-19 positive patients?

7. Is your age over 60?

8. Do you have heart disease, lung disease, kidney disease, diabetes, or any auto-immune disorders?

Positive responses to any of these would likely indicate a deeper discussion with the dentist before proceeding with treatment.

Our Offices Safety Precautions and Policies - PLEASE READ POLICIES BELOW PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT.

To help prevent the transmission of all respiratory infections, including COVID-19, we have always adhered to standardized infection control measures. We follow routine cleaning and disinfection strategies, using cleaners and water to pre-clean surfaces prior to applying an EPA-registered, hospital-grade disinfectant, as well as appropriate sterilization of all tools and equipment.

Infection control and universal precautions have always been the top priority for our practice. Our office routinely follows infection control recommendations and guidelines from the ADA-American Dental Association, the CDC- U.S Center for Disease Control and Prevention, OSHA- Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and the State Department of Health - New Jersey Board of Dentistry.

For your upcoming appointment, you will notice some changes to protect both our patients and our dental team. These changes include:

  • We are pre-screening patients for signs or symptoms of infection using a COVID-19 questionnaire.

  • All patient intake forms will be completed electronically before your appointment.

  • We now have a virtual waiting room - once you arrive to your appointment please call or text us, and we will let you know once when we are ready for you.

  •  Face-coverings must be worn at all times unless the dentist is treating you.

  • Please use hand sanitizer upon entering the building.

  • Touchless forehead temperature will be taken on each patient upon arrival.

  • We are not allowing any patient to be accompanied for their appointment unless it is medically necessary for the companion to assist with mobility or communication, or if the patient is a minor.

  • We are cleaning and disinfecting public areas frequently, including door handles, pens, bathrooms, etc.

  • Books, magazines, video games, and toys have all been removed from the waiting rooms to allow for increased disinfection.

  • All team members have been tested for COVID-19 prior to returning to work and are screened daily.

  • Medical grade filtration and purification systems have been installed in every treatment room and waiting area.

  • Aerosol reducing equipment during routine cleanings and restorative work are installed in every treatment room.
